Anthropomorphic: Wooden Chair
I believe this chair resembles a person. It looks like a person sitting down with their feet planted on the ground and their knees bent upwards into the air with their back rested against the wall. This chair definitely mimics the look of the person sitting in it.

Metaphoric: Custom "?" Pipe Lamp
This is a pipe lamp that I made last year. It may be hard to tell (cause it's in a awkward spot to take a photo) but this lamp is in the shape of a question mark (?) and is attached to my desk. This lamp, to me, communicates that this space is for answering/solving questions and the light bulb gives it that "AHA!" feel when you figure something out.

Evocative: Weather Ball, Flint MI
When the weather ball is red, warmer temperatures ahead.
When the weather ball is blue, colder temperatures are due.
When yellow light is the color of the weather ball, there will be no change at all.
When it blinks in agitation, there will be precipitation.
Is the poem to the weather ball that sits atop the former Citizens Bank HQ in Flint. This building always reminds me of my time in Flint as I could see the weather ball from the window my desk sat in-front of.

  1. nice poem! it sets the tone evocation. the changing of the color summons not only weather, but the associated feelings.
