Adobe Systems Utah Campus

City and Country: Lehi, Utah, USA

The Adobe Systems Utah Campus is beautifully built to fit within its rough surroundings. It is located next to the Wasatch Mountain Range, and the building goes above the nearby highway. Having the interstate run under the building allows you to really feel like you're driving into a whole new setting. The designers used textured concrete as the base in order for the building to fit into its neighboring mountains. Conference rooms are very open, with many windows to allow you to outlook the mountains on one side, or the valley on the opposite side. This allows for workers to have a very open outlook, while still having the privacy of their work space. Designers used a large atrium in the center of the building to separate the work space from the recreational area. They felt it necessary for there to be a way for workers to blow off steam and clear their minds in some way. Another major feature of this building is the cafeteria. They believed that it was extremely important for workers to collaborate and share ideas over meals together. This helps to build a sense of community in the work environment. All in all, the Adobe Systems Utah Campus is extraordinarily built, and accents its adjacent land features beautifully. They designed a great building for work, play, and collaborating.
